auditlamp tools score-badge // free // shows a real recorded score

put your score
on the wall.

The AuditLamp score badge is a small embeddable image that shows your real, most recent readiness score, a number from 0 to 100 with a plain verdict, and links back to your live audit. It follows the honesty rule the whole product runs on: the badge only renders from a scan that actually happened. Run a AuditLamp audit first, paste your site below, and copy the snippet.

What this number is, and is not

The score is a readiness snapshot, not a promise of rankings or traffic. It measures how cleanly search engines and AI answer engines can reach, read and cite your pages against documented checks. A high score removes reasons to be ignored, it does not guarantee a position.

The badge always reflects your most recent recorded scan and refreshes within about an hour of every re-run, so the wall never shows a stale number for long. If no AuditLamp audit is on file for your site, the badge image returns a plain 404 on purpose. We never draw a made-up score.

the badge is one signal. the full auditlamp audit runs 116 checks on the whole site.

why a badge at all

An honest score is worth showing.

Trust marks work when they are verifiable. The security world learned this with the SSL Labs grade: a badge is only worth embedding if anyone can click it and re-run the test themselves. The AuditLamp badge follows the same rule. It cannot show a number you did not earn, it links straight to the audit that produced it, and that audit re-runs on demand. When a site owner is proud enough of their readiness to display it, the link they add is a real backlink to AuditLamp, which is the only kind of promotion an honesty brand can accept.

badge questions, answered straight

The honest version.

Can I set the number to whatever I want?

No, and that is the feature. The badge image is generated by AuditLamp from the last score recorded for your domain, so you cannot inflate it by editing the snippet. The only way to change the number is to fix your site and re-run the audit. A badge you can hand-edit is a badge nobody can trust, which would defeat the entire purpose.

What happens if I have never run a scan?

The badge image returns a 404. There is no placeholder score, no zero, no sample number baked into the live image. Run a AuditLamp audit on your site first, then the badge starts working. The preview above uses a clearly labeled sample number only so you can see the three color bands before you commit.

Does the badge update when I improve my site?

Yes. It always shows your most recent recorded score and refreshes within about an hour of a re-run, because the image caches for roughly that long. You paste the snippet once and never touch it again. Improve the site, re-run the audit, and the wall reflects the new number on its own.

Will embedding this slow my page down?

Barely. The badge is a small SVG image, a few hundred bytes, served with a cache header so most visits never re-fetch it. It loads like any other image and carries no tracking script. If you want the smallest possible footprint, give the image an explicit height so it reserves its space and does not shift your layout while it loads.

a badge needs a score behind it

No scan, no badge. Get the score first.

The badge can only show a number AuditLamp has actually recorded. The full audit runs every documented check on your site in one scan: search, the answer box, and the AI assistants, ranked by what is costing you customers, in plain language. Paste your URL, get the diagnosis on screen in about thirty seconds, then come back and hang your score on the wall.
