Paste a paragraph. Inspect its features.

This tool describes visible writing features: word count, opening reference words, references to other sections and sentence punctuation. It does not determine whether the passage is accurate, original, helpful or likely to be cited.

Use the observations to review a real reader question. No target word count earns a pass. Google says there is no preferred word count and no special writing format required for its AI search features.

The paragraph check runs entirely in this browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded. Read the passage in context before changing it, and retain useful detail rather than shortening it for a score.

what the readiness check measures

Observed features, with clear limits.

The live check reads fetched HTML. Paragraph length, numbers, links and question headings are descriptive, unscored observations. The broader audit can also report concrete HTML issues, but it cannot infer citation probability from formatting.

  • Paragraphs and wordsCounts of the text available to the scanner, not a completeness or quality grade.
  • HeadingsVisible heading elements and question marks. Heading presence alone does not establish whether a page answers a question.
  • Numbers and linksVisible numeric spans and external links. Their presence does not verify a claim or its source.
  • Reader contextPossible references to surrounding text, offered for review rather than treated as automatic failures.
  • Unmeasured resultsActual search inclusion, citations and customer outcomes need separate observations.

Review Google's helpful-content guidance and AI-feature guidance. To investigate a specific page, retain the scan evidence, make a reviewed change, and run a fresh retest. See the scoring methodology and opening-passage review guide.

answer readiness, answered straight

The honest version.

What makes a paragraph useful?

A useful paragraph helps its intended reader answer a real question or complete a task. This scanner cannot establish that from length or punctuation. Review the substance, context and supporting evidence yourself.

Does a well-structured passage guarantee an AI citation?

No. This check observes no live AI answer and assigns no citation probability. Formatting advice is not a guarantee of eligibility, selection or traffic.

Where should the answer sit?

Put the information where it helps the reader. A direct answer close to its question can improve clarity, but no universal paragraph position or word-count threshold is scored here.

part of the full audit

The opening is 5 checks. The audit is 157.

This tool reports paragraph and heading observations, not a quotability verdict. It does not tell you whether crawlers can reach it, whether a robots rule blocks AI bots, whether your structured data parses, or the hundred-odd other things that decide visibility. The full AEO audit covers all 157 signals, not just answer readiness. The full AuditLamp audit evaluates the applicable checks from the 187-detector catalog against your site and shows the failures in plain English, worst first.
